Unlike any other thread lifts, the Silhouette Lift does not use permanent, barbed sutures! Instead, several bio-absorbable cones become anchored in the subcutaneous (under the skin) tissue layer and allow for upward lifting and suspension of cheeks and other tissues. This revolutionary, FDA-approved mid-cheek lift procedure can be performed under local anesthesia in about one hour, and unlike the surgical Lifestyle Lift ® it does not leave any visible scars. It also differs from and is less invasive than the Endotine lift ®.
Since being FDA-approved in the United States in 2006, the Silhouette Lift has evolved and improved further with thousands of procedures successfully performed on patients worldwide. The procedure can be performed under local anesthesia, does not leave any visible scars and patient may resume normal activities in as early as two to three days. It is a simpler alternative to more conventional facial rejuvenation surgery in properly selected patients.
