Rhinoplasty in Redmond
Also known as a “nose job,” rhinoplasty is one of the most common forms of cosmetic surgery that is performed in the United States. Patients elect to have rhinoplasty for many reasons. A common reason is never really liking their nose, or wanting to make it smaller. Other patients may want to minimize and remove ridges and bumps. Some patients have medical problems, such as breathing difficulties or cleft lip nose, that makes rhinoplasty not an elective surgery. No matter the reason, here at the Bel-Red Center for Aesthetic Surgery, we offer rhinoplasty in Redmond to our patients, with our resident physician, Dr. Jan Zemplenyi.
In practice since 1989, Dr. Zemplenyi is an expert in facial surgery, including rhinoplasty. He will sit down individually with each patient to discuss options, with patients giving feedback always, as patient satisfaction is a priority. No two rhinoplasty surgeries are alike, so the doctor will use computer-generated images to help patients see how their nose will look after surgery. The doctor may suggest a complete realignment of the nose, or may use skin patches to minimize the nose. It is important to note that parts of a nose may need to be augmented to minimize other parts. The nose must still look symmetrical on the face.
Dr. Zemplenyi also performs revision rhinoplasty, for those patients who have had a previous, but unsuccessful rhinoplasty. He will fix prior work that has caused patients to suffer breathing issues and other problems.
Rhinoplasty does require anesthesia, and is performed right in our office. Patients can elect to choose either twilight anesthesia or general anesthesia, depending on their preference.
