What can I expect post-procedure?

A pressure bandage will be placed across the chin after the procedure to keep minimize swelling and bruising. The dressing is removed after one to two days. Bruising and swelling resolve over the next one to two weeks. Pain is usually controlled with oral pain medication. If the chin implant has been inserted through the chin, the sutures are removed after a week and the incision line usually heals to an imperceptible line.
