What can I expect during the cheek implant procedure?

Cheek implants are inserted through an incision inside the mouth, hidden under the upper lip so scarring is not a consideration. If the cheek implant procedure is being done in conjunction with other procedures such as a facelift, the implant insertion can be made through incisions made for those procedures. A pocket is created for placement of the implant with meticulous attention given to symmetry.

Cheek augmentation can also be accomplished with demal filler injection. Fillers such as Radiesse, Voluma, Restylane, Bellafill®, Perlane can be used to enhance cheek contour.
