Eyelid Surgery in Redmond
Patients decide to have plastic surgery for a number of reasons. Sometimes patients want to generally look and feel younger, often aided by minimizing fine lines and wrinkles on the face. Those patients are excellent candidates for eyelid surgery. Also known as blepharoplasty, eyelid surgery improves the appearance of the eyelids by making them look less droopy. As we age, the skin around the eyelids has a tendency to sag, adding an older, sallow appearance. Surgery helps to lift the appearance of the skin around the eyes, making patients look younger. In addition to blepharoplasty for cosmetic reasons, some patients also elect to have this surgery to broaden their field of vision as they age. No matter the reason, here at the Bel-Red Center for Aesthetic Surgery, we offer eyelid surgery in Redmond, and many other surgical and non-surgical procedures for our patients.
Under the guidance of Dr. Jan Zemplenyi, blepharoplasty is actually performed by making small incisions gently around the eyes. After incisions are made, the fatty deposits and excess skin are removed to tighten the skin. A minor surgery, eyelid surgery can be performed with either full anesthesia or twilight sedation, which are both available in the Bel-Red offices.
A graduate of UCLA, the doctor has been in practice since 1989, with a long list of patient testimonials and success stories. He spends an ample amount of time with each patient, going over the ins and outs of every surgery, and providing computer-generated imagery, so that a patient can get a real feel for what they will look like post-surgery.
