Eyelid Surgery in Bellevue
Many different types of plastic surgery produce different outcomes and effects for patients. When a patient is looking to minimize fine lines and wrinkles on the face, eyelid surgery is a good option to help people look younger and gain some self-confidence back. Also known as blepharoplasty, eyelid surgery is performed for cosmetic reasons typically as people age. As patients get older, the skin around the eyes begins to look droopy and sag. Having an eyelid lift can significantly improve the look of the face around the eyes. Additionally, many patients elect to have this surgery for medical reasons, as blepharoplasty can significantly widen a patient’s field of vision. Here at the Bel-Red Center for Aesthetic Surgery, we offer eyelid surgery in Bellevue, as well as many other surgical and non-surgical procedures.
Under the guidance of Dr. Jan Zemplenyi, blepharoplasty is performed by making small incisions around the eyes, and removing the excess fatty deposits from these areas. A minor surgery, eyelid surgery can be performed either with full anesthesia or with twilight sedation. Both are available in the Bel-Red office.
A practicing plastic surgeon since 1989, Dr. Zemplenyi is a graduate of UCLA, and is board-certified by American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, and by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He spends a great amount of time individually in consultation with each patient well before surgery, to discuss expectations and outcomes. He also uses computer-generated imagery to show what a post-surgery lift will look like.
