Blepharoplasty in Tacoma
Typically referred to as eye lid surgery or an eye lift, blepharoplasty is one of the most common types of cosmetic surgery. Patients elect to have this type of surgery for many reasons – for most patients, it is for cosmetic reasons, and to feel and look younger; both for others, it can be entirely for medical reasons. Blepharoplasty, when performed, also can open up a person’s field of vision so that they have a broader range, and can see better. Here at the Bel-Red Center for Aesthetic Surgery, we offer all types of blepharoplasty in Tacoma to our patients, under the guidance of Dr. Jan Zempleyni.
Dr. Zemplenyi has been in practice since 1989, and is a graduate of UCLA. An expert at facial surgery, the doctor has a long list of patient testimonials and success stories. He sits down individually with each patient, prior to surgery, to decide on a course of action through surgery. With the use of computer-generate imagery, the doctor can best show each patient how they will look following surgery.
The surgery is performed using small incisions around the eyes and eye lids. Fatty tissues and excess skin are removed, and then the incisions are closed, allowing the patient to heal. Wrinkle lines and fine lines are reduced, revealing a younger-looking skin.
It is important to note that this procedure does require anesthesia. Here at our office, we offer both twilight and full anesthesia. While twilight is more common for this minor surgery, it is up to patient and doctor to decide.
