Asian Eyelid Surgery in Kirkland
Patients elect to have plastic surgery for many different reasons. One of the many reasons includes the desire to minimize the look of fine lines and wrinkles on the face. Many patients may be familiar with a procedure known as a facelift, but very few have heard of a procedure known as blepharoplasty. Also known as eyelid surgery, blepharoplasty can take years off of a face by essentially tightening the skin around the eye area. As we age, skin can droop and sag, lending itself to an older look. Some patients require special care because of differences in eyelids. We want to accommodate all of our patients’ needs, so we offer Asian eyelid surgery in Kirkland for those patients that need that extra care.
Blepharoplasty is typically performed by making small incisions around the eyes. After the incisions are made, fatty deposits and excess skin are removed from the area, tightening the skin. Asian eyelid surgery is no different in that respect, but an extra step must be taken. Because of differences in eyelid shapes, Asians require a double break being created in the upper eyelid crease during surgery. Our team also specializes in cases where patients have a droopy upper eyelid or a droopy lower eyelid.
Our resident physician is Dr. Jan Zemplenyi. A graduate of UCLA, the doctor has been in practice since 1989.
