Dr. Zemplenyi and the Bel-Red Ambulatory Surgical Facility are preferred providers for  several major health insurance plans including Regence/Blue Shield, Premera/Blue Cross, First Choice, Uniform Medical Plan and Medicare. Please check your insurance company PPO booklet for details or call us at (425) 786-2384.  As applicable, our office obtains pre-authorizations from insurance company prior to some surgical procedures.

Health insurance never covers cosmetic plastic surgery. However, insurance may cover reconstructive surgery for problems that interfere with normal function. Examples of services that may be covered include correction of excessive droopiness of the upper eyelids documented to interfere with vision (functional blepharoplasty),  reconstructive nasal surgery for breathing, removal of painful lipomas,  reconstruction of skin cancer defects and reconstruction of post-traumatic functional problems.  Sometimes we combine nasal cosmetic surgery with procedures to improve nasal breathing and recurrent sinusitis.  With proper pre-authorization, insurance companies may pay for the functional component of the surgery. Dr. Zemplenyi and our staff are able to answer and counsel you about these issues.

During your consultation about cosmetic plastic surgical procedures, you will receive a written quote for the cost of the discussed procedures.  It is our office policy that fees for cosmetic surgery must be paid in full at least two weeks before your surgery date.
