Cosmetic Surgeon - Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Jan Zemplenyi has been in Bellevue providing the highest level  of care in cosmetic surgery since 1989.  With years of specialty and sub-specialty training he has become triple-board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery,  the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and by the American Board of Otolaryngology. This extensive experience in aesthetic surgery has enabled Dr. Zemplenyi, president and director of the Bel-Red Center for Aesthetic Surgery, to offer the Puget Sound community and beyond excellence in addressing patient aesthetic concerns.  Dr. Zemplenyi maintains active privileges at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, Washington.

He obtained an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of California at Los Angeles, graduating Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He received his medical degree with high honors from the University of California at San Francisco. Upon his return to UCLA, he completed a six-year residency in otolaryngology/head & neck surgery followed by a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Lasky Clinic in Beverly Hills.

Dr. Zemplenyi is a Fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery,  the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery,  the American College of Surgeons, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology & Head/Neck Surgery.  Very involved in the medical community, he has served as the President of the Northwest Academy of Otolaryngology, President of the Cosmetic Surgery Society of the Northwest  and member of the Facial Plastic Society of Washington.  He serves on the Board of Trustees of the Washington State Medical Association and is a clinical instructor at the University of Washington.

He has donated his services as a Facial Plastic Surgeon to the free treatment program of victims under the National Domestic Violence Project.  In order to keep up with the latest techniques, Dr. Zemplenyi frequently attends and lectures at conferences and courses related to Cosmetic Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery in various cities throughout the United States.
